Antique Books & History

On March 25th, PBFA (Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association) had a book fair in Edinburgh at the Radisson Blu Hotel on the High Street. The Rare Books Edinburgh Festival celebrates rare, collectable, and important books, as well as the history of the book. The book fair was held this year, and the talks, exhibitions, and workshops for collectors, bibliophiles, and book lovers will hopefully be held again in 2023.

The talks typically include introductions suitable for aspiring book lovers and those simply interested in the history of the book, as well as scholars delving into their most recent research. Collections that are rarely seen by the general public will be on display. At the heart of the event is Scotland's largest and most prestigious book fair, with rare and collectable book specialists from all over the UK (and further afield) offering selections from their stock.

Antiquarian Booksellers Association (ABA) members will also be selling books.

Antiquarian books, prints, manuscripts, maps, photographs, posters, printed ephemera and book-related items.

I found a tunnel book from the 1700s and It was so beautiful. I took quite a few pictures and videos. I ended up buying two maps, one tourist map of Edinburgh's current old town area, a map of the lakes in Edinburgh and a postcard.
