I combined this with my previous research to list down elements I really liked. I like the colour washes a lot, so I decided to start with that. Try using an Image as truth, distorting that using the colour wash, noise and subtle effects to refer to ambiguity. I don't want illustrations, because illustrations are almost like someone's view of reality, and are always subjective.
